Taking Your Nevada Learners Permit Test

The minimum age for applying for a Nevada learner's permit is 15 years, 6 months. Once you are of the legal age, you can visit one of the DMV testing centers and submit your application. The permit test is provided either in a computerized form or as a regular pen-and-paper exam. It is not an open-book exam and you cannot use any exam aids. This includes your cell phone or any other communication device. If you are caught cheating on the permit test, the test is marked as failed. The DMV may also take additional actions against you if you cheat on the test.
