Problems with TDTSEA Texas Parent Taught Drivers Ed Course 106 Delivery
According to the statement provided on the TDTSEA main page, students who ordered their Texas parent taught drivers education course #106 after August 5, 2010, will experience a delay in package delivery. The delay is caused by an overload of the printing shop that was producing the course materials for TDTSEA. Parent taught course materials will not be sent out until at least September 1st. If you are in the rush to start your Texas drivers education course, you may want to choose an online course or order a book package from a different provider.
Here is the official statement that appears on the TDTSEA web page right now.
“All orders received after August 5, 2010 have not be shipped due to an unexpected delay in printing of the binder-insert materials (lesson plans, answer keys, quizzes, etc). We expected to have them by this week (Aug 19th) but due to the volume that the printing shop has incurred due to school starting back next week, we will not be able to ship out any orders until September 1st. We are so sorry for this inconvenience! Great news is that you are getting a NEW 2010 EDITION COURSE and not 2003 like you originally ordered!”

- course #106 - offered by Texas Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association. Only book driver education course is available
- course #107 - offered by Virtual Drive of Texas. Computer based CD-ROM driver education course is available
- course #108 - offered by DriversEd.com. Online driver education course is available
- course #109 - offered by I DRIVE SAFELY. Online driver education course is available
Each one of these courses will satisfy the drivers education requirements in Texas, so you may safely go for one of them instead of waiting till course 106 is available again.
