Orange diamond shaped signs belong to the category of warning signs, they usually warn you about something coming up ahead on the road. This particular sign is one of the “intersection signs”, road signs that warn you about the type of the intersection that will come next. The sign will tell you if there's a cross road, a side road, a T or Y intersection or a round-about ahead of you so you can merge to the correct lane and be alert for other traffic.
